Job Purpose:

As Maintenance Engineer, supervises the repair and maintenance of Elevator & Escalators equipment installed in these
buildings. Ensure timely installation, Maintain and upkeep of the company’s property and systems like elevators &
escalators in order to ensure operational effectiveness

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsibility 1- Client/Customer Service
  • To develop and maintain strong relationships with clients or customers by listening to the
    client/customer and understanding and responding to identified needs.
  • To identify and resolve work issues that impact service delivery to groups or individual customers.
  •  Ability to develop creative, alternative solutions to respond to complex service needs.
  • Accountable to make recommendations to streamline processes/procedures, remove barriers, and link resources for efficient and effective customer service.
  • Accountable to review customer requests and seek clarification as needed.
  • To develop effective working relationships with internal/external customers (vendors,
    subcontractors, etc.) that further the work unit’s goals.Sending Monthly Progress, monitoring reports to clients.
  • Attending client meeting regarding to the site requirements
• Responsibility 2- Knowledge – Technical
  •  Preparing technical & incident report to the client about the site accident/incident.
  • Preparing the technical report to the factory based on field trouble/ modernisation/enquiry
  • Trouble shooting major break downs
  • Testing & Commissioning of Elevator & escalator equipment
  • Final Project handing over to the client or customer after completion.
  • Knowledge of systems to be maintained( Escalator & Elevators)
• Responsibility 3-Planning & Execution
  • Develop maintenance schedules and enforce them among maintenance staff
  • Communicate plans for upper level improvements to maintenance worker staff
  • Planning & executing major repair & modernisation jobs
  • forecasting, ordering, and price negotiation for spare parts inventory
  • Planning & execution of 3rd party Inspection for the relevant equipment & keeping operational wise.
• Responsibility 4-Reporting
  • Reporting to the line manager about the site condition & fault history
  • Reporting to the factory about the fault & find outing the bottom line solution
  • Forecasting & Reporting to the client about the site major repair due to aging
  • Concisely convey written information orally or in writing to individuals or groups to ensure that they understand the information and the message.
• Responsibility 5: – HSE
  • To perform tasks and duties safely to avoid danger to self and others.
  • Conducting Weekly Tool Box Talk & awareness of field safety & PPE necessitating
  • To regularly assess safety conditions; ability to identify, communicate, and implement accident prevention and corrective measures in work related activities.
  • To demonstrate to employees and others, safe ways to perform job tasks or the use of equipment.

• Ability to continuall adapt & learn new techenology , implementation task & application
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision & under pressure in a multi- tasking environment.
• Ability to handle all major lifts ( Hitachi, Fujitec, KONE, Sigma, Kleemann, etc )maintenance including breakdowns.
• Perform administrative tasks as required
• Ability to clearly and concisely convey written information orally or in writing to individuals or groups to ensure that they understand the information and the message.
• Ability to provide technical assistance to others by troubleshooting standard facilities maintenance issues and determining their cause.
• Ability to mentor other technicians
• Ability to understand applicable policies and procedures and maintain conditions that ensure a healthy and safe working environment
