Elevator Salesman

Position Overview:

As an Elevator Salesman, your primary responsibility is to promote and sell elevators to clients in various industries. You will work closely with architects, contractors, developers, and building owners to understand their needs, provide expert advice, and offer suitable elevator solutions. This role requires a strong combination of sales skills, technical knowledge, and customer service abilities to drive business growth and ensure client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales and Business Development:
    • Identify potential clients and generate leads through research, networking, and referrals.
    • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers.
    • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase elevator features, benefits, and customization options.
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sale to secure new business.
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
  2. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Establish and nurture relationships with architects, contractors, developers, and building owners.
    • Understand clients’ requirements, evaluate their needs, and recommend appropriate elevator solutions.
    • Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the sales process.
    • Address client inquiries, concerns, and objections in a timely and professional manner.
    • Collaborate with internal teams, such as engineers and project managers, to ensure smooth project execution.
  3. Market Analysis and Competitor Research:
    • Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies.
    • Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market share.
    • Identify opportunities for product differentiation and market expansion.
    • Gather feedback from customers and industry professionals to improve product offerings.
  4. Sales Administration and Reporting:
    • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and presentations.
    • Maintain comprehensive customer records and sales documentation.
    • Coordinate with the sales support team to ensure timely order processing and delivery.
    • Attend sales meetings, conferences, and trade shows to network and enhance product visibility.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably in the elevator or construction industry.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
  • Technical aptitude to understand elevator systems and their components.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales reporting tools.
